Bio
I've been told, I am a very easy going person, that I don't find myself too upset with changes or problems. Once I am comfortable somewhere, I find myself to be a very natural leader. I deal very well with people of all ages and pride myself on being fair and reasonable. I am a very intelligent person. I have a BFA in Graphic design and am working on a MAT in Art Education. I have a deep love of learning of any sort. I find myself glued to stories from history as well as how things work or are made. If I find a book interesting, I won't put it down until it is finished. While I don't read as much as I used to, I still finish hundred of pages in hours if I am interested in what it is.
I was married in 2002 to my amazing husband. I am thankful everyday for him, he is my pride, love and joy. I love RPGs. I love Japan. I am very interested in the country and its culture in general. I love Macs and find myself defending them from time to time. I am amazed at the amount of people who do not know about the fantastic changes they have been through since OSX.
I am somewhat of an aspiring author. I have written many short stories and novels throughout my life, most of which happened during my youth. Five years ago I rediscovered my love for writing. I did nanowrimo (national novel writing month) twice and succeeded both times. 50,000 words in a month toward a novel. I enjoy it greatly, and I am proud of my work. Generally I don't feel it is good enough to submit anywhere but that may change in time. I have been casually working on editing a supernatural thriller novel I finished from one of the nanowrimo texts.
I am not as healthy as I would like to be. I have arthritis, mild asthma, sinus and respiratory problems. My weight is also an issue. So, all and all, I have to strongly budget what I can and cannot do. Despite this, I am a pretty hard worker. I am always busy working on something. I am nutty about bargains, I want everything for the best possible price. When you are on a tight budget, this is kind of mandatory. I like to plan ahead and have things ready for when I need them. I don't like doing anything at the last minute or a "half way" job. I would rather use my free time to prepare.
I like to learn how to do things for myself. I enjoy understanding what is involved in sewing clothing or making food entirely by scratch. I may not choose to always do it that way, but if nothing else knowing what is involved gives you more respect for possessions and the people who made them for you. If I find the process enjoyable I will continue to do it by hand. I enjoy knitting for that reason. You can make amazing things from a couple of sticks, yarn and some know how. It also helps me to keep my hands busy when I am having the blues. I have 6 or 7 crafty projects going at any given time, and despite the fact that they may go untouched for a while, I make it a point to come back and finish everything eventually.

I go to SCA (a medieval reenactment group) whenever I can. I am a member of the shire of Crimson River. I am responsible for their website. I like to lots of medieval artsy/craftsy things and experience a little taste of what it was like in the past.
